These are supremely-balanced bats.
The
perfect transition for little leaguers used to swinging light metal bats.
Cosmetic cup on barrel.
Each bat is tested, and the
actual sweet
spot is identified on the barrel...
an excellent teaching tool!
Available in -4.0 to -5.0 weight drops.
The above Youth Bats are also available in
our all-wood, laminated composite design.

composite bats here...

A NOTE ABOUT our Quality Warranty for these
Composite Bats:
We refer to our laminated bats as a
"composite" because they are made of several specially-prepared pieces of
wood. Our goal was to
improve the performance of hitting a
baseball... you get this with
the lighter-weight wood in the core of the barrel, for faster bat speed.
The extra-dense wood in the core of the handle adds a weight shift toward
the hands (also for bat speed), as well as added strength in the handle.
Our Quality Warranty says that if our bat
fails due to poor quality wood (we try to have ZERO like this), or
poor quality manufacture - such as glueline coming apart - then we WILL
replace the bat.
Providing STRAIGHT-GRAIN WOOD and EXCELLENT
CRAFTSMANSHIP is what IS under our control.
Bats with poor quality wood will fail by a
bad grain angle, such as this..

HOWEVER, if a bat is found to have good
straight-grain wood, and the bat breaks because the hitter hit a baseball
significantly away from the sweet spot - then we cannot replace a bat
under these conditions.
WHERE THE HITTER MAKES CONTACT WITH THE
BALL IS NOT UNDER OUR CONTROL
Even these excellent composite bats may
break, because they are still ALL-WOOD BATS.
Manufacturers that make plastic-handle bats
can offer warranties against breakage, because plastic does not break - it
yields. Imagine a garden hose - you can bend that into a
U-shape, and it will not break.
Manufacturers of plastic-handle bats have a
goal of promising NO BREAKAGE.
- they compete with each other by offering
longer and longer warranties.
At RockBats, we have a goal of improving
the performance of hitting a baseball.
Next time you are at the sporting goods
store and you want to make a comparison between an all-wood bat, and a
plastic-handle bat... GRAB THE BAT BY THE BARREL, and
TAP THE KNOB ON THE FLOOR... and listen to the difference..
